11th Support Group Meeting

Support Group Meeting #11 was held on April 23, 2019, at 630PM at the University of Miami Hospital U-Health Tower, room 2026, the Board of Directors' meeting room.

We are delighted with the growing number of attendees who are coming to our support group meetings, many who continue to join us for the comradery and the information provided by our speakers. There were nine patients at this meeting and eight at the previous meeting.

Our speaker this month was Jessica Moya, M.S, RDN/LDN, who spoke on the importance of “Hydration for Ostomates”. Patients were able to ask a lot of questions and join in discussion with Jessica.

A big thank you to Reina Nunez, from Comfort Medical, for her generosity in bringing the delicious refreshments to the meeting, which everyone enjoyed.

Please join us for our next support group meeting to be held on Tuesday, May 28th at the UM U-Health Tower, room 2026 at 630PM. The speaker will be Lynn Wolfson, President of the Weston Ostomy Tube Feeding Group and her topic will be “Living Life to the Fullest”.
