3rd Support Group Meeting

On Tuesday, July 24th Miami Ostomy Aftercare’s downtown support group met for the third time. Each meeting has been an education for us. It is a learning process for us on how to best have a support group meeting that will be informative and interesting for patients, their caregivers, as well as medical professionals. We strive to be THE destination for post- surgical ostomy patients to learn and gain advice and instruction in aftercare from specialists in their particular field.
This meeting was very informative. First, Claudio Croce from Atimo, our web designer, gave us the exciting news it is now official our WEBSITE has been launched! He explained all about how to log in, how to navigate the website and what will be in it. Afterward, he answered questions.
We were also joined by Reina Nunez and Nancy Smith of Comfort Medical LLC, who serve the ostomy community on a daily basis. Comfort Medical, located at 4385 NW 12 Avenue in Coral Springs, offers knowledgeable customer service with care and compassion. They pride themselves on being a full-service medical supply company ensuring that each client receives all the necessary “DME” Durable Medical Equipment that an ostomy patient needs when he comes home from the hospital.
